Apple Watch Series 12

A new S11 chip ensures this Watch has both power and stamina for the long-run, while Siri AI is only getting started on Apple's wearables. And if you have the funds to stretch to its killer new ceramic casing? There's never been a better-made Series model. Just when I thought there was no juice left to squeeze from the Watch, Apple found a way to make an upgrade that matters.

For now, even without the Audio Intelligence features, and maybe in spite of them, there’s a lot to like about the Series 12. Top of the list are more robust health metrics, a longer battery and a smoother, more powerful processor that will essentially future-proof my device for more upgrades without slowing it down. And the fact that it’s giving me all these upgrades without yet another subscription fee is the icing on the cake.

The Apple Watch Series 12 starts at $549 and is available on September 18. And if you’re someone who goes hiking, deep diving and/or needs a more rugged and bigger watch, the Watch Ultra 4 starts at $1,099. I’m definitely someone who wouldn’t need the Watch Ultra 4, but I’m liking the capable Series 12.
