Garmin Cirqa

The Garmin Cirqa is good at what it does: being a discreet screenless fitness tracker that interfaces with the comprehensive Garmin Connect app. However, there’s a small value issue here: for what it is, it’s not cheap, and I do lament that coaching features are locked behind a paywall on top of the upfront cost. Despite this, it’s definitely better value than the Whoop’s annual subscription for most users, Garmin Connect is a very detailed interface, and it’s comfortable to wear day-to-day. Its best use case is for existing Garmin users, especially cyclists, but you can definitely use this as your only tracker.

With generally accurate auto-activity tracking, long battery life and a screenless design that keeps notifications and mid-workout stat-checking at bay, the Garmin Cirqa is a brilliant wearable for discreet monitoring. However, its somewhat bulky sensor and limited strap options mean it can’t help but stand out on your wrist. It’s also more expensive than the Fitbit Air, which makes it a slightly harder recommendation.
