One of Microsoft's latest security updates is apparently causing some problems for Internet Explorer users. There is a support article on their site covering the issue, which affects the latest version of Internet Explorer 6 SP1, either on a Windows XP SP1 machine or a Windows 2000 SP4 machine. The update that causes the problem is MS06-042, which is a require security update. Primarily, the flaw just results in crashes, which is more an annoyance than anything. Microsoft's temporary workaround is to disable HTTP 1.1 support in IE, which although is not a long term solution is something that can get you back up and running more than anything. It is a better idea to deal with a crippled browser than to surf with an unpatched one, so sadly IE users will just have to sit tight for now.
