HTC officially announced the One M9 earlier this month during the annual Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona. While a lot of the details were leaked beforehand, now we may have the final two pieces of the puzzle, with an online listing apparently revealing pricing and availability for the device.

According to a page on HTC retail partner B&H's website, the new HTC One M9 will go on sale on Wednesday, March 25th, and it will start at $649.99 off contract. That's not a big surprise considering most flagship handsets hover around the $650 - $700 mark when bought off contract. Also, last year's HTC One M8 launched on exactly the same date at exactly the same price.

As reported earlier, the new HTC One M9 is not a radical redesign but an evolutionary refinement of the same metal unibody formula. In fact it's seemingly identical to its predecessor at first glance, save for some very subtle refinements like sharper edges, improved grip with a less slippery back, and relocating the power button to the side to make it easier to reach.

In terms of specs, the One M9 is powered by a Snapdragon 810 octa-core SoC running at 2GHz, 3GB RAM, 32/64GB of internal storage expandable via microSD, and the praised BoomSound speakers. The display remains at 5 inches and 1080p resolution, while the 4 megapixel 'UltraPixel' camera has been replaced by a 20-megapixel rear facing camera that slightly protrudes on the back.

HTC's president of the Americas Jason Mackenzie teased an upcoming announcement in middle to late March around "extreme differentiation between Samsung and the iPhone" and solving key pain points. It's unclear what these might be but perhaps there's still more to come regarding the M9.
