Sling TV on Friday announced the addition of a couple of new channels to its lineup.

First up, the Dish Network-owned company has added Maker Studios' Polaris+ to its Best of Live TV core package. For those unfamiliar, Polaris+ is an extension of Maker's Polaris brand that will feature long-form original programming as well as gaming, pop culture, comic and live-event coverage. Content will be available on demand and through Sling TV's three-day replay feature.

Sling TV has also added Turner Classic Movies (TCM) to its Hollywood Extra pack. TCM will be joining EPIX, EPIX2, EPIX3, EPIX Drive-In and SundanceTV in the Hollywood Extra pack, one of Sling TV's optional add-ons that can be combined with the core package for an additional $5 per month. TCM doesn't yet have on-demand options but it will be added in the future, we're told.

Last month, Sling TV expanded its reach to include compatibility with all Android TV devices and launched a promotion in which new subscribers can get a Nexus Player half off with a three-month service commitment.

The company also added ESPN Deportes to its Deportes Extra add-on pack and earlier this month launched Sling Latino with two new Spanish base packs. Paquete Total includes 22 live channels for $12 per month alongside Paquete Esencial which delivers 16 live channels for $7 each month. It also rolled out two country-specific packs for $7 each, Columbia and Espana.
