Microsoft is ringing in the holiday shopping season in a big way. From now through November 29, the Redmond-based company is slashing the price on over 1,000 movies, songs, apps and games to just 10 cents in celebration of the more than 110 million Windows 10 device installations since launch.
The 10 cent offer, available through the Windows Store for those running Windows 10, will feature new deals each day (Microsoft warns that they could go fast). Do note that the deal on movies - Jurassic World, Terminator Genisys and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, just to name a few - aren't for ownership but rather, rentals. That said, 10 cents for a movie rental is still a great offer.
Starting on Thursday, November 26, through Monday, November 30, Microsoft will offer its Xbox One console for just $299 both in stores and online, the lowest price ever.
You can also save $50 off the cost of any of the 12 Xbox One holiday bundles and choose from more than 150 game deals, some up to 60 percent off. Game deals will be available to Xbox Live Gold members now through November 23 before the flood gates open to the general public on November 24.
Microsoft is also inviting gamers to try Xbox Live Gold for one month for just a buck and offering deals on the new Lumia 950 and 950 XL, Office 365 Home and Office 365 Personal and more. Buyers will get free shipping and free returns on some hardware products through select participating retailers, Microsoft adds.
