Our fixation with smartphones and the instant gratification they deliver may seem normal to most but when viewed in a slightly different light, it quickly becomes apparent how ridiculous the cultural obsession has become.

To illustrate this point, YouTuber David Elmaleh put together the clip above in which snail mail replaces e-mail (translation: your notification destination). The act of checking your physical mail box dozens of times a way - refreshing your inbox - would likely earn you a trip to your nearest mental health facility yet somehow, it's perfectly acceptable in the digital world.

While it's unlikely to break many habits, it's certainly entertaining!
