Our editors hand-pick these products using a variety of criteria: they might be direct competitors targeting the same market segment, or they could be devices that are similar in size, performance, or feature sets.
The HS80 Max Wireless is a good headset. The sound quality is particularly impressive, the headset produces clean, loud audio which sounds great for both games and media. The built in microphone works well and will handle online chat with ease. Build quality could be better, with a mostly plastic build, but the yokes are metal so the strength is there where it's needed most. Overall, a good headset that comes at quite the price.

The HS80 Max delivers a more than solid performance in music and is great in gaming, thanks to proper 50 mm drivers. You get excellent wearing comfort. The headband should be durable, as are the ear cup mounts (as I’ve used the predecessor for almost two years without an issue). The wireless functionality is implemented well; you get a 50-hour (in our scenario) battery life (65h according to the product page), range in our case was between 8 and 12 meters (not 15 as stated by Corsair).
While a good sounding headset, the Corsair HS80 Max distinguishes itself mostly on the strength of its feature set. It doesn’t have multipoint connectivity, but it has both wireless and Bluetooth, along with a bunch of EQ options including a personalization one. On top of that, it offers customizable RGB lighting that many budget and mid-range wireless models skip.
Nos gusta este modelo de Corsair por su diseño sobrio mediante diadema de puente único con felpa adaptable en altura, proporcionando buen y cómodo agarre, unos pabellones increíblemente cómodos y botones de control de buen acceso.
The HS80 MAX isn’t revolutionary, or iterative, it is more of the same. However, if you missed out on it last time, then this is the one to look at. It’s a fairly standard listening experience, but within the gaming space, the access to Dolby Atmos really becomes a selling point. The comfortable design and professional look, along with the flexibility, do really snowball into a solid recommendation.
The HS80 Max is a worthy successor to the HS80. Corsair has smartly taken an already successful product, added significant improvements, and priced it reasonably. While it would have been great to see a 3.5mm jack and some microphone enhancements, the HS80 Max still stands out in the crowded gaming headset market.
