Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2 is a sequel that rethinks established formulas. The combat overhaul succeeds by slowing everything down and demanding engagement, with boss fights being the best in any ARPG. Seasonal leagues add fresh mechanics, though the execution varies. But technical problems remain along with poor beginner onboarding.

With no significant microtransactions to get in the way of gameplay and a feature rich experience even despite the price tag being free, Path of Exile 2 is well worth a look for any ARPG fan. At this point, I see my relationship with Path of Exile 2 getting stronger as the content launches in live form — whereas I now see no reason to return to Diablo IV, with the seasonal content leaving me feeling colder with each iteration.

My army of skeletons are terrifically loyal. For one and a half seconds a feeling passes over me and the feeling is: Is this all there is? Fights like this forever, in slightly different shapes? Then my boys fell the worm the size of the house and with a click, its body erupts into bone scorpions, and I shake the feeling off. There’s a support gem to collect. I’ve got an idea.

Given how polished the gameplay experience is, Path of Exile 2’s Early Access doesn’t feel like an early access title. The game is also jam-packed with an insane amount of content, and if you want to take a sneak peek at what the current experience has to offer, I suggest that you watch GGG’s endgame presentation for Path of Exile 2, which is an hour-long video combing through the game’s plethora of content. And all that for just 30 dollars is definitely a game worth spending money on.
