The Samsung Galaxy S8 Ultra impresses with its large screen, multiple cameras and overall thin design. It is tailor-made for creatives and hybrid work.

Hands on: The Tab S8s feature “an improved multi-window mode,” offering new layout options for up to three windows at once. The company also worked with Microsoft to simplify the process of setting the Tab S8s up as a second screen for your PC, so you can case your laptop’s content over, which can be handy if you want to use a pen to quickly sign PDFs, for example.

Hands on: At $1,099 (and most likely $1,299 or $1,399 for the versions with increased memory and storage, plus possibly more for the keyboard cover), the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra certainly approaches laptop pricing territory. What I found surprising is that the proposition doesn’t seem that far-fetched.

Hands on: If you're after a tablet with a huge screen - perhaps to consider as a laptop replacement using accessories - then they don't really come bigger than the Tab S8 Ultra. This slate is clearly designed for more than just watching stuff - the inclusion of the S Pen stylus and top-tier Qualcomm hardware confirm this - and if that's your intention then, well, we suspect this option might be simply a bit too big.

Hands on: I love that a tablet this large exists, especially one as feature-packed as the Tab S8 Ultra. It’s not going to be for everyone, but those who appreciate the hefty canvas will find a lot to love here.
