Hi,

Your problem is hard and it has multiple culprits. Your version of ZoneAlarm and Norton AV are unstable. De-install or upgrade Norton AV and ZoneAlarm. Upgrade the firmware of the BIOS as all the crashes are related to system crash at instruction processr!AcpiC1Idle+0x12.

I have sygate now

i installed sygate(instead of zone alarm) after hearing that it works well with NAV .is that a good option...

thanks man

I do a lot of #e applictions and rapid proto typing ..so i needed all the 4 gigs..

g_santosss.

I see you have started another thread for what is the same problem.

I am going to delete your new thread, because it is not required. You should continue to post in this thread, instead of opening new ones.

I have looked at your latest minidumps and they all crash with a bugcheck of D1.

I suspect you have a ram problem.

0x000000D1: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

The system attempted to access pageable memory using a kernel process IRQL that was too high. The most typical cause is a bad device driver (one that uses improper addresses). It can also be caused by caused by faulty or mismatched RAM, or a damaged pagefile.

Go HERE and follow the instructions carefully.

Regards Howard :)

P.s You should attach your latest minidumps in this thread, so cpc2004 can also take a look at them.

hey thanks man...

i did a ram test for 9 hours and the reult was pass 7 errors 0

so does it mean there is no errors..

i also uninstalled aymantec and put avg ..

the hard drive also passed the 5 stages

so what is the option left out

Some faulty ram can pass Memtest.

So it still could be a ram problem.

Have you tried running your system with just one stick of ram?

I know of plenty of instances wher ram sticks will work alone, but not when other sticks of ram are in use.

Another possibility is, your psu might not be putting out enough power for your system.

What psu do you have?

Take a look at this PSU wattage calculator. Add a further 30% to whatever figure it gives you as a safety margin.

Regards Howard :)

my psu is 500 v and moreover very rarely my cpu usage crosses 60 %

i have 4 gigs of ram..but my paging starts with 2046 and goes upto 4092

but i heard it should strat with 1.5 times the total memory, but microsoft gives a workaround to overcome the 4 gig issue but i dont understand it

can u tell me is that an issue because the bsod also mentions about pagigng...

Blue Screen after a short break

i didnt get the blue screen for the past 10 days ,what i did is that i uninstalled symantec and replaced with avg and replaced zone alarm with sygate....i also disabled both my onboard and external sound card...but three days back i enabled my external sound card and watched a dvd and today i got a bsod ..i didnt see the bsod but there is a minidump file..

i have attached it....please let me know if its the sound card

Your minidump crashes at processr.sys. This is the Windows processor driver. It has a bugcheck of D1.

BUCKET_ID: 0xD1_W_processr!AcpiC1Idle+12

Did you update your bios, as suggested by cpc2004?

You should also go to your mobo manufacturers website and install the latest chipset drivers.

Regards Howard :)

new drivers

AS u said i went to mobo webpage ..i downloaded the new chipset drivers and installed them.so far no probs...

i have a question..should i uninstall the ols drivers before insatlling the new ones ...i just installed without uninstalling...is it fine
