4 steps complete, Windows Vista computer troubles

Ie9 downloads and internet access doesn't work, uninstall and using ie8. while using this computor, the wireless router looses internet access randomly (5 times in 3 days), must reset modem and router, doesn't happen while using older desktop in house. computer start-up randomly very slow at times. please review logs when you can. thank you, timbob

A few weeks back, I tried to uninstall CA antivirus (has not been used in years) and a blank CA uninstall window came up, which did nothing. I went online and downloaded something that would take care of. When I just went to uninstall, this time got a window to uninstall CA. Got a few errors during, ran msconfig and disabled all on startup tab as instructed by error, and restarted. CA still there. Tried to uninstall and continue to get error (CA 9050 ..unable to load plugin library ..parental controls), will not uninstall, remove CA.
Have not done any of the other requested items yet. Please instruct how to proceed.

Used Revo uninstaller and was successful at removing CA anti-virus. Ran RogueKiller and copied 2 logs below.
Ran Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit 2X and copied 3 logs below (final system log).
Also, network/internet access went out again, had to shut off modem and router, start modem and router when PC accessed on modem, access/internet restored...could this be a router issue, new modem (to save time warner monthly charge), older router?

The computer starts up much faster than in the past, no 10+ minute starts. Have not lost internet in the past few days. Thank you for your assistance to this point. All seems much better, was there some type of mailware, virus?

Another note, have been updating windows when required (changed to notify me to reduce attempts and oversee), however, 3 updates download successfully (been showing up since Jan 1), however never show up as actual update. I continually get reminders to update the same 3 (tried numerous times and have checked details/troubleshoot at windows web without success): Security update for Windows Vista KB2676562, Security update for Windows Vista KB2724197, Update for Windows Vista KB2679255. Not sure if this is a question for you?

Thanks, Computer working much better, however when I loaded Securia, computer slowed down considerable, first time program locked up, "not responding", second time had some programs to update, did microsoft office and windows updates, Securia locked up again on microsoft xml and computer even slower, getting odd warnings from windows avira not working when it was on. Started again, very slow start and uninstalled Securia. Ran much better after uninstall, no issues.

During this same time, windows noted the same 3 window updates were required (been trying since Jan 1), installed again, however never show up as an actual update. Also tried to update to IE9 and again got "a problem displaying webpage caused IE to refresh compatibility view" at bottom, no webpages will load or show up on IE9. Uninstalled update again, IE8 works fine.

Any suggestions?

Everything was going very well, computer running fast with no issues until I implemented step 9 (basically last step to download) of your instructions "9. Download and install Secunia Personal Software Inspector (PSI):" The download was successful, however when the Secunia window came up and noted to scan for updates, pressed scan, which ran for short time,and then Secunia window stopped working "not responding". Closed the Secunia window, took a while to respond and restarted computor (my choice). After restart, very slow, Secunia window popped up automatically during start up, this time showing 8 updates to be done. Performed 2 of 8 and Secunia window again stopped working "not responding", everything running very slow. Same process as before and restart went even slower. Uninstalled Secunia with control panel at this time. Restarted and computer started to work better.

Prior to each restart as well as with Secunia, the (3) window updates [Security update for Windows Vista KB2676562, Security update for Windows Vista KB2724197, Update for Windows Vista KB2679255] show up and were done with "Window Updates" (4X including with Secunia) . These update successfully, however do not show up on "Installed Updates", been trying with same results since Jan. 1, 2013, mentioned on earlier post and you noted to "wait until we're totally done and then see how it goes". Still unsucessful with the (3) updates noted.
Note, use "System and Maintenance" for "Window Updates" and "Installed Updates".

After all that has been done, I thought I would update to IE9 again (had tried a few times prior to contacting you with same results below) and see if this would work and possibly allow the (3) window updates to install. I loaded IE9 again, used "Window Updates" and tried IE9. Got a box with a note at bottom of IE9 window "a problem displaying webpage caused IE to refresh compatibility view", my default yahoo would not show up, a blank screen with box at bottom. I tried tech spot and this would give same error, a blank screen again. 'New updates availible' showed up again and updated again. Restarted to see if they would take and see if IE 9 would give me something other than blank screen. Did not work. I uninstalled IE9 using "Installed Updates", "System and Maintenance" which sends me back to IE8 after start-up.
