Release notes:

Note: This update is not applicable to Windows XP (DirectX 8.1 is built in) or DirectX 8.1 downloads. All required files have been updated and included in those releases.

Users of video capture devices should install this update after installing the DirectX 8.0 or 8.0a runtime. Video capture devices include:
TV tuner and video capture cards/peripherals (AGP, PCI, USB, or IEEE 1394).
Digital Video (DV) devices connected to OHCI-compliant IEEE 1394 ports.

Note: Before proceeding with your driver installation we suggest you make sure you are installing the latest version available and for the appropriate model/revision and Operating System. We strongly suggest following 'readme' instructions for installing drivers when available. Often restarting your system will be necessary for the new driver to become active and start functioning properly.
