Benchmarks: Battlefield Bad Company 2, Splinter Cell Conviction

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was tested using Fraps to record 60 seconds of gameplay from the level "Cold War". Performance was measured using the best visual quality settings with 4xAA/16xAF enabled.

The Radeon HD 6970 performed well when testing with Battlefield at 1920x1200 delivering an average of 71fps. The card was slightly slower then the GeForce GTX 570 in lower resolutions, but gained back momentum and was able to top the GeForce in the more demanding 2560x1600 test.

Splinter Cell: Conviction
We relied on Fraps to measure in-game performance recording 60 seconds of the first level, "Merchant's Street Market". The highest visual quality settings were used along with 4xAA/16xAF.

The last game we tested had the Radeon HD 6970 and GeForce GTX 570 ending in a tie at 1920x1200 with 63fps each, the same result produced by the older GTX 480. This made both cards just 5% faster than the Radeon HD 5870, while they were 20% slower than the Radeon HD 5970.
