Those rocking monitors with a high refresh rate will enjoy what the GTX 1070 has to offer at 1440p, as it averaged 142 FPS using the ultra-quality preset rendering at 100% scale. This made the 1070 just 7% slower than the Titan X, while it was 8% faster than the Fury X and 57% faster than the 970.

Because so many of you have asked, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been re-tested with HairWorks disabled for our GTX 1070 coverage. As expected, this allowed for a significant boost in frame rate.

The GTX 1070 was again faster than the Titan X, albeit by just 4% in The Witcher 3 at 1440p. The 1070 was also just 18% slower than the 1080, though it did beat the 970 by a massive 70% margin.
