1 PC without Internet in network

I have a weird problem with my Internet connection. I have two PCs in network and while one PC has connection, the other one doesn`t. It was fine earlier today, but after I restarted, one of the PCs can`t connect. The cable is plugged, traffic is on, windows doesn`t detect any problems, only MSN detected a DNS error.

I tried the ipconfig commands, turning off Windows firewall and I don`t have AVG at the moment, which could mess up the connection (the thing is, I installed AVG 9 this morning and after I did a system restore, it`s not there anymore).

I think it`s not the router problem since the connection to both PCs is one, but divided by... this little box (sorry for my lack of English),

Hmm maybe ''the little box'' is faulty. can u try plugging it directly into the router and see if that works. Also are all Network drivers up to date,
