AgileBits, developers of password manager 1Password, launched a pair of new account options – Teams and Families – earlier this year as a hosted service. Both were met with positive feedback which led to multiple requests for an individual tier based on the same platform.

Founder Dave Teare happily obliged.

The new individual plan for Windows, Mac, Android and iOS includes built-in automatic sync across all devices, data loss protection, web access to your data via 1Password.com, item history for restoring deleted or changed items, secure document storage and a new multi-factor security model in addition to free updates, free upgrades each time a new version is released and more.

Teare notes that users can cancel at any time and even if your subscription expires, you can still view and export your data.

The individual plan will set you back $2.99 per month. In comparison, Teams pricing starts at $3.99 per month for a standard account while a Families account (for up to five members) checks in at $4.99 each month.

Anyone that signs up between now and September 21 will get their first six months free (you don’t even have to enter a credit card). If you’d prefer the old route, AgileBits still offers a standalone license priced at $64.99. Do note, however, that some features that depend on the hosted service won’t be included.
