64 bit Capable Processor?

Hey guys, I own an Athlon X2 BE-2400 chip and an ECS 780GM board. CUPz says my cpu has the x86-64 instruction set, does that mean it would be able to use 64 bit Windows?

Also, does anyone know how to upgrade from Vista 32 bit to 64 bit without doing a clean reinstall? Thanks in advance.

you cant do it w/o a clean install and yes to your question.

So do I just pop the 64 bit Windows disc in the DVD drive and it'll do it by itself or do I have to reformat my hard drive first? Thanks.

You will be able to format from the Windows installation.
