8-step removal help

First timer here. I'm trying to remove the malware Vundu.P from my home computer and following the Updated 8-step viruses/spyware/malware preliminary removal instructions. I'm having a problem with I get to step 4, installing Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. The program downloads and goes through 99 percent of the install process before giving me the following error message: "Unable to register the DLL.OCX: Regsvr 32 failed with exit code Ox1."

Prior to downloading I believe I successfully disabled real-time monitoring of Mcafee and StopZillah, which I recently purchased in an unsuccessful attempt to remove Vundu.P.

Any help you can provide would be most welcome.

First, Uninstall the present copy of MBAM. Here is another method. You are describing a case of difficulty.
