About to dive into the 40 core build

I'm going to take the plunge for the dual xeon build as described in
https://www.techspot.com/review/1218-affordable-40-thread-xeon-monster-pc/

It will not be used for gaming but for molecular dynamics using the program Chimera which can make use of multicore systems. It will be Win 10 based.

Are there any components that should be considered as improvements/alternatives. ? In particular for the ES2630's ( and still keep the costs down ) and the MB.

I did look for a similar thread, so I apologize if this is a duplicate.

Sounds like fun...eBay has a number of distributors for equipment coming off lease who are moving some pretty nice workstations. For instance, 10 pallets of Dell T5500s coming into the used market would drive price down.. I looked around for a low end CPU set up on a T3500 - was pleased to find one with top of the line heatsinks for very cheap - I updated BIOS - then shopped for an improved frequency CPU and more RAM. Hope you have great success.
