Advice on a Custom PC

Hi all, New to the forum.

I'm looking into buying a new PC, because my current one is so old. I've been looking into buying a pre-built PC, but found out about a reputable Custom PC builder near me, but I am not very good with all the technical jargon of computing, I know the basics, but not much else

and so I thought I would come to some clever computer people and as for advice/opinions/suggestions on the system I made before I purchase.

These are the specs:

Processor (CPU): Intel® Core™2 Duo E7200 (2 X 2.53GHz) 1066Hz FSB/2MB L2 Cache

Memory (RAM): 2GB CORSAIR XMS2 800MHz - LIFETIME WARRANTY! (2x1GB)

Motherboard: ASUS® P5N-MX: DDR2, S-ATA II, 1 x PCI-E x16, 2 PCI, etc

Operating System: Genuine Windows XP™ Home + SP3, CD & Licence (£55)

USB Options: 4 PORT USB 2.0 EXTERNAL HUB (ALLOWS USB ON YOUR DESK)

Memory - 1st Hard Disk: 500GB SERIAL ATA II HARD DRIVE WITH 8MB CACHE (7,200rpm)

Graphics Card: Integrated NVIDIA® GeForce 7050 CineFX 3.0 Graphics

Sound Card: ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)

Modem: NONE, I WILL BE USING BROADBAND

Network Facilities: ONBOARD 10/100/1000 GIGABIT LAN PORT

Memory Card Reader: INTERNAL 52 IN 1 CARD READER (READS XD, MS, CF, SD, etc)

Case: Stylish Black Aluminium Trigon Case + 2 Front/Side USB (case specs: pcspecialist.co.uk/index.php?page=images)

Power Supply & Case Cooling: 300W Dual Rail PSU + 120mm Case Fan

Processor Cooling: SUPER QUIET 22dBA TRIPLE COPPER HEATPIPE CPU COOLER (£15)

I'm getting it from pcspecialist.co.uk, if you need to visit it and see for yourself.

All in all it comes to £449.00 incl. VAT & delivery.

I think my main worry is if i picked the right Sound and graphics cards. That sort of stuff really makes no sense to me. I use my computer a lot for watching TV shows/videos etc, but i think the only game i really play on this computer is The Sims. ha ha.

I use my computer a lot, its on all day, I have some pretty system heavy applications running a lot like torrents, Nero, & Adobe Photoshop.

I'm a web designer so I mostly was a fast system with a lot of space, which I think I have got, but I would like some advice on the system as a whole on if you think its right, I don't want to buy a system that isn't up to scratch.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Rebecca
