AMD CPUs remain more popular than Intel's among Puget Systems' workstation customers

Thats one of the main reasons why I hate them and wish that they simply die off.
Again, not because I am an AMD rabid fanboi, but because I hate cowards and those that fight dirty.

Fanboys are the people who claim that AMD and Intel aren’t just as bad as each other. And they really are just as bad as each other. Intel gave discounts to companies for going Intel exclusive and previously AMD sold unlicensed clones of Intel chips. I could list more, it’s tit for tat with these two. People who believe that AMD are any more ethical than Intel are brainwashed.

For me, the biggest let down in recent years was AMD selling FX as 4,6 and 8 cores when in actual use most apps could only use half that number. This was mass deception used by AMD and resulted in class action against them. It’s funny, a judge and jury in a court of law viewed all the evidence and the defence and came to this conclusion. But usually AMD fanboys dismiss all this and claim that this was an unfair ruling. Because apparently they know more than everyone involved in the legal proceedings.

The only area I can think of where one may be more ethical than the other is in charitable efforts. Intel have spent a lot of money on bringing tech to the developing world (in the hope that Intel becomes established, they aren’t doing it for nothing lol). AMD don’t have the cash for this though. Although they did spend $500 million on putting their logo on formula one cars.

What are those? You don't need license to sell cloned x86 chips in case you have x86 license because you have licence. AMD "clones" (faster than Intel's) were not Unlicensed.

Intel on other hand sold Unlicensed x86-64 compatible CPU's (Intel didn't have x86-64 licence at that time). Put better arguments for claims like that next time.

Lawsuit was not based on any facts and no wonder AMD decided to settle it for pennies just to maintain good reputation.

In Germany they even paid the largest electronic retailers (Saturn and Media Markt) to not carry any AMD based system.

Then there was the ‚Mystery shopper‘ program in the US where they paid sales assistants a bonus if they‘d recommend an Intel based system to one of their mystery shoppers. Don‘t think that was possible without the stores‘ consent.

I'm at least glad to say that at Tiger Direct, we didn't get extra bonuses for selling any specific brand of hardware unless it was on sale. I did make a few extra simoleons selling XFX motherboards.

I agree that being a hater does limit one's options but you know what? I've been AMD/ATi since my first AMD CPU, the Phenom II X4 940 which I coupled with an XFX Radeon HD 4870. Since then, I've had a Phenom II X4 965, FX-8350, R7-1700 and my current R5-3600X in my desktops. In my craptops, I have an A8-3500M (in an old Acer Aspire but it still works) and an R5-3500U (In an ASUS Vivobook).

On the GPU side since going 100% red, I've had twin XFX HD 4870s, twin Gigabyte HD 7970s (traded one for an unused Dell ATi HD 5870 years ago), twin Sapphire R9 Furies and an XFX RX 5700XT.

At no time did I ever feel like I was suffering or missing out. My computers all worked fantastically well and there was never a game that they couldn't play. Hell, I even managed to run Skyrim at 720p medium settings on the old Llano-based Acer and it was very playable. To say that I was impressed would be a major understatement considering that it was AMD's first real APU, it was the mobile version and it didn't have a separate discrete GPU, only the on-die Radeon HD 6620G.
