AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Roundup: 14 Graphics Cards Tested!

I love that powercolor uses paint on backplate and heatsinks. For people noticing small things. I actually wanted their version when I was looking for a new GPU. I could not find it unfortunately. Also, I was looking for a card with a waterblock compatibility in mind.
The popular models always have one or even 2 Chinese waterblocks soon after the release available. Less popular models do not get those often.
I wish there were not so many card references. It is a nightmare not only for watercooling fans but the makers of those waterblocks. Instead of making a block and selling it to every owner of 9070xt, they are forced to carefully craft one for one of several version of the card. It is dumb and is one of the reasons these cost so much.

For the three gaming charts, why does Black Myth Wukong start at 70 while the other two start at zero?

Regardless, the fastest 9070XT only outperforms the slowest by about 5% while the most expensive costs about 24% more than the cheapest (currently - $700 to $920)

Yup, we'll fix that soon.

Great article, Steve! I feel like GPU roundup reviews have become less common across all tech sites. It's expensive and time consuming, so I get it.

Same, got it for $670 in a bundle with a nice monitor which I have to the kid. I have no issues with the card and was surprised to see it on the lower end. The auto over click was able to push out an extra 200 MHz as well.

I grabbed the xfx Mercury on the second wave of AMD gpus shipped, sadly I got it at 830 USD, however I am super satisfied

Alphacool usually has a good selection of waterblocks, My last two builds (mine and the wife's) had XFX Merc 7900XTX and 6900 XT and they have no problems keeping both cards cool, even in her system which is a mid tower with a single loop. They usually have blocks for quite a few of the top selling brands.

Alphacool blocks are good. One thing I love about those, the thing that I learned in a hard way, is that their connection points are made of metal. It is an amazing engineering decision that all waterblock makers should copy.
Surely plastic is decent if you are careful, but metal is so much more reliable.

Its interesting article, but for now, all of those cards are out of my league..
so I hope there will be 9060 XT 16gb round up..
or 5060Ti 16gb..

For both of the Sapphire cards, they have a 2 year warranty, same with PowerColor. I would call warranties out in the article and potentially remove certain brands from the recommendations when ASUS, Asrock, XFX, Gigabyte (non-AORUS) are doing a 3 year warranty. Additionally Gigabyte's 9070 XT AORUS (not mentioned in the article) does 4 years of warranty with registration.

Let’s be honest here - the difference in performance between these cards is barely noticeable, less than 5 FPS in most cases. So it all comes down to looks and noise and temps. I just picked up the Steel Legend dark 9070XT for about $150 less than the more premium models. It’s a nice looking card and performs well in games. I feel that this review was a bit too negative about this model.
