Android Hot Spot Issues

Android hot spot issues. My android's hotspot sometimes can't be detected by my laptop or desktop. An often times the connection drops. It had previously worked flawlessly. I changed phoned and it fixed the problem for sboutva week. Then it went back to acting up. It tehrrd fine. My carrier Metro PCS had been no help. It tethers with a USB cable just fine. Its s WiFi issue betwee the phone and laptop has always connected automatically after turning hot spot on. Can anyone assist me?

I would like to ask if anyone in here has issues, usig their 4G phone as hotspot?? I measure 120MBps on the phone but can't get over 30, using it as hotspot. What do I do wrong, if anything? Windows 10, lots of RAM, and a Galaxy S7 running Marshmallow. Thanks.
