  1. hello!

i'm sorry im new here and I saw cfitzarl post regarding the sims 2, about the error message.

I just bought a HP Pavilion dm 3 Notebook PC, definitely not a gaming computer but that hasn't stopped me before. anyways, I was playing the sims 3 on it the other day which has system requirements far beyond what my computer can handle and it worked great but I didn't enjoy part 3 in the series as much as the sim 2 so I got that but then the error message came up as I tried to start it. that's the whole backgrounds story lol.

    my system requirements is:
AMD Athlon (tm) Neo X2 dual core Processor L335 (2 CPUs) ~1.6 GHz
    4 GB RAM
    DirectX 11

    my graphics card is:
    ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics
    2 GB

and the message that pops every time I try to start the game is:
"Failed to enumerate any DirectX 9 compatible graphics adapters in this system!

Make sure you have directX 9 compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest manufacturer provider driver.

    The application will now terminate..."

I've done the things cfitzarl wrote about in the forum, updated basically everything I could but nothing has worked. please help!
