What a load of BS, it offers exactly the same scratch resistance as iPhone 17 Pro/max with scratches appearing at level 7.

This clown is just praying fools believe him so they will get flooded with screen replacement jobs for a criminal price.

Well... Because people live in another reality:
- we have to pay for our phones. At my job what we produce is also free for me...
- we don't earn a fraction of what he earns to get everything fixed
- Apple's engineers (and all the others) don't work hard enough: ceramic shield, proton super mega hard shield etc barely protect the screen from scratches and breaking
- everyone has a bad luck now and then, and the phone falls on the floor, or have kids or animals and accidents occur. Mine is as new after 1.5 years.

That's why all I see with a broken or scratched screen, do not have any kind of screen protector, all with one perfect screeen... have a protection. I'm about to change my S25U screen protector for 15€ , and the screen itself is still perfect.

But if I earned millions per year and got a free phone whenever I wanted, I wouldn't use a screen protector either

In the past 15 years or so of owning a "smart" phone, things I've never had happen:

scratch the screen
crack or break the screen in any way, shape or form
lose my phone
drop it in any kind of liquid

I've also never used glass screen protector.

It baffles me how many people can be so careless with their personal devices.

Until a few days back I would have agreed.
That's when a friend told me she drops her iPhone 17 at least once a day.
The thing's well armored and I think she also uses a screen protector but there you go :
I don't like the word "clumsiness". as it feels a bit derogatory but people do struggle with it.
Dexterity and coördination are gifts that not everyone possesses.

And are you paying an extra fee for "AppleCare?" Whenever I have seen "AppleCare" for the iPad Minis have had over the years, it can only be had for an extra fee.

It’s effectively an infinite warranty and £16 covers my phone, Mac and watch. It’s paid for itself for the last 3 years when the charging circuit on my Mac piled in. Plus you get more than the cost of the claim back in value when selling

Frankly, I prefer a glass, hardness 9, screen protector as well as an "armored" case. I'm quite careful with my iPad Minis, but I depend on them and the Diabetes Pilot app I run on them for my diabetes management, and I am well aware that accidents happen sometimes.

“Hardness 9” likely isn’t also it’s not going to protect your device from smashing the screen

Till this guy authorizes free screen repairs, im more then ok of his skin crawling while I take precaution to protect my screen. year after year they hype that nonsense of it being harder/more scratch resistant but they arent. they gte small scratches over time. its noticeable.

Yea well let me tell you what buddy, when your phone costs an arm and a leg, I am going to protect it no matter what. We drop our phones constantly, and they are fragile. I’m not about to drop $1,000+ and then carry it around unprotected. What makes my skin crawl is the price of these phones that break when you look at them cross eyed.

I appreciate the sentiment, but.... I have an iphone 14 Pro Max (1st gen Ceramic shield), which has a good case w/ high lip, but no screen protector. I am very careful with it, have only dropped it once, and it is carried in a pocket with no other abrasive materials (maybe cash, maybe a thin leather billfold, but generally on its own).

Despite this I have acquired multiple small scratches on the screen. They are not large, not really visible when the phone is unlocked, but up until a year ago it was still without any scratches. Apparently the 'Ceramic Shield' has coatings which degrade over time (also, I live in a place with intense sunlight). Perhaps the glass is not scratched, but the coatings are - but I have no means to polish the glass.

And the glass on your phone is always 2x or 3x or 4x or 10x better than the previous gen. Whatever that means. I treat a dinky budget android phone the same way, and in two years, no scratches (of course time will tell, and it sees much less use).

Meanwhile my iPhone 16e from work has a scratch on it from having keys in the same pocket, and I cringe every time I see a screen partially shattered because it impacted something. Tom needs to hush.

Yeah exactly... exact same thing. My screen protector strangely enough was cracked to oblivion (from protecting my device funny how that works hey) so I removed it. Now my screen has a keys scratch too.

Ceramic Shield 2.0? Is he sure that's ceramic and not crystal? Maybe something got lost in translation from Mandarin to Portocal.
