Hi I have some questions. What do you mean when you say"I tried resetting my laptop and reinstalling the audio device"?
Where did you get the latest drivers? What Operating system are you running W7, W8.1,W10? What make and model is your laptop? Have you been here ?( Be sure you click on the drop down)
Let us know exactly what you have tried so we don't repeat things.;)

I got it from the same website that you send in the previous post. My laptop is W10, asus X556UB.
I tried to update my audio driver to the latest and reinstalling it. I also tried the troubleshooter but it still does not work after following the instructions.

Hi As long as you have a yellow exclamation mark in device manager, you won't have sound. I suggest the nuclear option.
That's a clean install of windows. If you still don't have sound after a clean install, then your laptop has problems and you will need to take it to a repair shop.:) There should never be an yellow marks in device manager.

I just tried installing it and reinstalling the audio driver from asus website but it still does not work.

Ok then uninstall asus realtek hd audio drivers, once its done do a quick reboot.
Since those drivers are from 2015 those are pretty out dated and only for windows 10 64bit.

Open this link up in firefox or edged browser choose the right one that matches your os.

Lets say for example holdum has windows 7 home 32bit he would want this version so it'll work.
32bits Vista, Windows7, Windows8, Windows8.1, Windows10 Driver only (Executable file)
Use this if you can get your audio drivers installed correctly to test your sound card.

I tried the 64bits driver but it still does not work :(

Capture.JPG25.JPG Hi Go into device manager and uninstall the audio driver after you down load the driver from Realtec. Restart your PC. Install the Realtec driver you down loaded from Realtec. Let us know how things go. That should give you a fresh install.

I notice there is a newer video driver than the other drivers and that laptop appears to have a separate video card and often times the video driver can affect the audio driver so here is what I would do is download and install the chipset driver first, then the audio driver and finally the video driver and see if that doesn't fix it.
