Audio driver problem

I was wondering if you could help me

High Definition Audio Controller PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4383&SUBSYS_FF1E1179&REV_00\3&2411E6FE&1&A2 This device cannot start.
Not Available ACPI\TOS1901\2&DABA3FF&1 The drivers for this device are not installed.
fyi... A computer doesn't need a sound card to create simple beep tones.

List any Problem devices

  • Click Start->Run, enter: msinfo32. Click the + sign next to Components to expand it
  • Click Problem Devices. Anything appear?
  • If yes, click on it, Ctrl-A to select all, Ctrl-C to copy it, Ctrl-V to paste into next post

Hi, According to your text report, your pc is a Toshiba Satellite L505D.
So the first and easiest move would be to go to Toshiba's site, they should have all the drivers for your pc.
http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe....=30&selType=all&country=8&language=13&search=

In the 'Driver type' box, scroll down to 'Sound driver'.
Then click on 'Search'. You will see a line with 'Realtek' in it, you need to click on the small red 'down arrow', to get the file, which will be in a 'zip' form, ready to download.
