Back up and share

Hello All,
i subscribe to comcast for my internet, they offer back up and protection free to subscriptions up to 2 gig, can I get some feed back regarding these service
I would be greatly appreciate It.

What about it, it does exactly what it says; use if if you think you need it.
Theres not much to say considering you already know what it does, though not very useful IMO.

Backup to 3rd party server is a good idea,

1. offsite storage in case of physical damages (fire, flood)
2. lots of space and no media required

but creates its own issues

1. security; it should be an encrypted file system
2. and thus is not sharable with friends
3. is not useful for full system recover; you need Ghost or Acronis for that

4. Much slower...need constant internet connections to upload anything substantial.
