Bios hasn't been upgraded since computer was built in 2011

Request help in deciding correct bios update version for my HP p6-207c tower unit. The current bios version is AMI 7.16 dated 12/16/2011. SMBIOS Version 2.7. The Hardware abstraction version is: "6.1.7601.24408". It is an x64 based PC.

Yep. I found that out when I did try and it squirreled things up with my duel display setup. Had to restore everything from an restore point established before the upgrade attempt.

Hmm; Restore does not access/update any BIOS!

I also put this PC together in 2011, and I haven't updated the BIOS at all. Not really something I'd want to mess with, but the PC keeps humming along fine anyway.
