My Bitdefender stopped working after this update(1709)is it really true that you cant decide what antivirus vendor you want.

Hi no it's not true. You can decide which Anti-Virus you want. Try reinstalling Bitdefender.
Let us know how things go. IMHO Windows Defender is the better choice for W10

I just installed Malwarebytes & like it.
It can be used along with antivirus programs with no conflicts.
It found 91 threats Avast Premium missed.
Think about it.
