Blank blue screen of death

Hi all,
I have twice recently had my PC freeze on me. Everything freezes and Ctrl + Alt + Del does not work to bring up Task Manager. Shortly after, a blank blue screen (no error messages or codes at all appears.) It then takes me to re-start the PC before it appears to return to normal.

Does anybody know what is causing this problem and how to resolve it?

Before you do so, be sure to read the posts at the top of the page "Before Posting Your Minidumps"

Short version...
Be sure to give us as much information as you can...
a. System specs (Hardware, and running software, including OS (and SP) security software)
b. A full description of what you were doing when the system failed.
c. A Zip file with your minidumps (up to five, the most recent ones, from folder "Windows\Minidump"
d. If you do not yet have it, a program like Everest can help to narrow down some hardware issues before getting into the dumps.
