About every 4 days I get the BSOD with the error Stop 0x000000f4(0x00000003,0x895cb020,0x895cb194,0x805d2970. When I checked the log file it says

(Mon Oct 06 11:41:01 2008.1021296) : GetUserDefaultLCID failed, restorting to system verion

I also found this (Sun Oct 05 19:49:34 2008.30479234) : NT Event Log Consumer: could not retrieve sid, 0x80041002
(Sun Oct 05 19:49:34 2008.30479234) : Failed to log an event: 6B5

and this (Sun Oct 05 19:49:34 2008.30479234) : NT Event Log Consumer: could not retrieve sid, 0x80041002
(Sun Oct 05 19:49:34 2008.30479234) : Failed to log an event: 6B5

If any of those have anything to do with it? I have reloaded windows 6 times and it still does it. HELP!!

Please read instructions on uploading minidumps and logs and upload your minidumps for analysis.

I don't do the dump files, but while you're waiting, I thought this might help:

NT Event Log Consumer: could not retrieve sid, 0x80041002
A STOP 0x000000f4 error is a CRITICAL_OBJECT_TERMINATION. This indicates that a process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated.

The NT Event Log is a basic part of XP and failure by it (for whatever reason) results in no Event Viewer data. It's also a subset of Windows Management Instrumentation.

WMI Log Files:

Secrets of Windows Management Instrumentation:

Logging to NT Event Log Based on an Event:

GetUserDefaultLCID failed> See WMI,

This could be the result of an update, a Trojan or a configuration problem.
