BSOD on VAIO! Need help with minidump!

Hello!!

I got a Vaio VPCEB13EB
Im getting blue screen a lot !!!

Dont know if its a driver problem or hardware!
Though I didnt install anything new or bought any new hardware.
Wondering if might be a memory problem.. wanna know for sure but I dont know to find the answer on minidump!

Need help

Hi Mitcha welcome to TS,

Firstly have yhu got a minidump for us. If so can you post if for us.

Secondly the BSOD's yhur getting - next time yhu get it can yhu wrtie down the STOP CODE that it gives yhu


another thing to look into is any recent software/hardware changes yhu may have made prior to yhu getting these BSOD's

i didnt install anything new
actually, I even formatted my Vaio with a fresh windows and I still get the blue screen..

I'd like to send my mini but I cant as Im new here..

Yes Mitcha the mini-dumps are all identical "NTOSKRNL.exe" Memtest86 is the test you should run first:

http://download.cnet.com/Memtest86/3000-2086_4-10524193.html

You will burn this file to a CD or DVD, then boot the computer with it. Let memtest86 run for a least 7 passes. Do you understand how to do this?

If you get no memory errors, check the C drive for errors. Here is some more info and instructions:

solved but it was not memory!

I installed a fresh new copy of a windows home premium instead of the home basic made for this Vaio.

Maybe it was a driver for Vaio..dont know!!
