Can I enhance HD running SLI

does anyone know if i run sli (2 512mb 7950gt oc) cards. Will it enhance watching hd on my big screen tv ?? or would it be just overkill. running one card without a hitch but thinking of using the other one i have and run sli....thanks...amd am2 6000, crosshair motherboard (not 3 or 4) and ocz reaper memory, 850psu ultra.

if you have them might as well run them in sli other than that i dont think it really would help the HD thing at all SLi is for gaming not running HD content.

VLC for one does offload some of the work onto the GPU, but I'm not sure if it takes advantage of SLI. I'd guess no.
