Cannot create a new folder

Hi

recently whenever I've tryed to right click somewhere then go on new to create a new folder the menu just freezes and will not unfreeze until I close explorer.exe and start it again. I have also tryed to create a folder using keyboard shortcuts but that didnt work either. I'm currently running Vista 32bit. Does anyone know of a way to resolve this.

Some program you have installed has put an entry in the right click menu,
that is causing the crash.Video drivers are a common culprit

Either uninstall that program or download ContextMenuEditor then delete the relevant entry.

ShellexView is another program that will do the job.

Ive removed all non windows programs from the New menu list, however its still not working. I've also noticed that when I try to go on the New menu my CPU usage goes up to full.

Then there`s something in the New menu.

Unfortunatly TweakUi doesnt work on Vista

Whether it has the same functionality in Vista,I don`t know.

The basic free edition is...free.

There is another program called ShellexView that lists every shell extension on your computer.

One of those extensions is the problem,but as there are about 200 it may take some finding.

yeah, but the basic doesnt include the context menu options. I downloaded shellexview about 20mins ago buts there millions of extensions on its list. I disabled all the non windows ones using shellexview but it still didnt work.

Yes, I finaly got it working, I used a program called Cavu context manager from here http://www.bestsoftware4download.com/a-cavu-software-10784-software.html
