Can't access administrator account on Win XP Pro

Somehow I went from Admin to limited user.I can't get back to being an admin.I cant find the admin account on safe mode either.In fact I can only find the limited one wherever I go.I think its a virus but I really need some help!
How can I access my admin account?Is it deleted?Can I create a new one from my limited one?
Any help will be really appreciated!

Hi

its unlikely you deleted the admin account

open windows explorer and look under documents and settings and see if it shows the admin account if it does

try this

log off (to the welcome screen)

Hold down CTRL and ALT and tap DEL a few times

it should take you to a standard logon box

enter administrator as the username and try your password.

If the password is wrong do a google on recovering lost admin passwords, there are loads of threads and help on it.

not so unlikely if it was a malware attack, but in that case it could just be corruption.

worst case scenario you need to use a BART CD to retrieve data and then just do a repair install of XP
