Can't connect to LAN

most of the warnings and errors consist of tcp/ip and dhcp. i see my wireless network connection driver in add/remove programs.

If you are not able to see it in Device manager & it is enabled in CMOS you might contact Toshiba. I have a tablet & lost the NIC in it the same way. I have a 3 year warranty on it so I backed up my files & then sent it off to a authorized repair shop. Works great new.

so i'm guessing it is a hardware problem. if that's the case, then i guess i can't fix it by doing a system restore right? But, is it possible for me to set up a wireless network using my laptop?

contradiction: Software (even a SW restore) will not fix a true hardware problem

should be, but be advised that a wired connection is necessary to config the router for a wireless connection :)

Unless you can load the drivers and run it as USB connection (some routers have USB option, hard wire)
