Can't install WinXP on Dell Vostro 1510

Somebody help!! I can not install winxp on My laptop dell vostro 1510. I continue getting " No hard disk seen" message.
Secondly; How can i change the same hard drive from AHCI to ATA Compatible mode? In the set up menu i can not find that option. Some body out there please help me!!

You might have to attempt formatting that hard drive using an external USB enclosure. Then install it back into the laptop and try installing XP once more
