Cant make Internet connection

i recently had to reinstall windows on my daughters computer problem i have now is i cant get an Internet connection(hard wire).i have went through all the instructions in setup new home network with no result's i think there might be some drivers missing,has any one got any ideas?.

Are you on DSL, cable or dial up? And which country might help too.

Drivers

Do you have a seperate drivers CD? Dell, for example, includes such drivers on a seperate CD. Try installing that, if you have one. Otherwise, look on the computer manufacturer's website for drivers.

go to your device manager
cp->system->hardware->device Mgr
expand [+] Network Adapters
there should be no red/yellow marks on them

if so, yellow is a bad config or IRQ conflict
red is a bad install/driver
