Certain webpages are only loading in text only mode and have little symbols instead of the images.

On every search engine I go onto: Chrome, Firefox, Yahoo, certain webpages such as the steam community only show in a basic HTML fashion can somebody please help it's been like this for a while now and is really starting to get on my nerves. HELP QUICK

Have you tried disabling firewall and/or antivirus? You connected via proxy server? Anyway, I've seen something similar at work for specific sites. On non-affected sites, the only times they look like this is during high usage and traffic slows to a crawl. And connection times out, leaving a text only web page, w/ minimal graphic if at all.
