Changing color of network folders

Hi ,

We are working on a project where we have our file server Windows Server 2008 and this serves files via network drives , we would like to be able to colour a folder on the server .. say red and then if that folder is mapped to the user , once the user on his computer looks at that folder he also sees the folder colour as red ... we havent found a way of doing it yet , though we can do it on the server , but it doesnt flow down to the user ... anyone any ideas ????

How do you colour the folder in the first place? By changing the icon or via some 3rd part plugin?
