China bans Nvidia, AMD, and Intel AI chips from state-funded data centers

Sure...
The Western is the pinnacle of civilization. Sure.

US and Europe have being ripping off resources from south america, Africa and Asia and you say CHINA is the thief? LOL

I think you missed the last 600 years. If China was a litte rat boy, well, US has grown into the godfather itself...
At one point it was reported that the US had a single digit percentage of the world's population, but used 70% of its resources.

The US population is about 4% of the world total at present.

They steal more. Moreover, it was stated many times that they behave like a developing country in the way they treat those they work with while they are way past that stage.

My representation of modern China is a thief boy that grew up into a wealthy person. He is respected, invited by other respected people.
And he still their silverware...
They do not behave like a respectable part of g what is it now, 7? They still behave, and quite shamelessly, like that country it was when they decided to allow the West in their country 40 years ago.

This is not a contrast to Western virtues or a praise of our goodness. It is just an acknowledgement of China's body maturing but its mentality staying back in times, decades and decades. They are not a respected member of developed society, they are a guest that stills silverware from the party he is invited to as a respected member.
If only they democratised nations from 30 thousand feet and helped tens of millions to achieve democracy in the afterlife.

How's the search for Iraq's WMD's going?

Hey, Japan started that war. Nor was it easy to get the Enola Gay to fly that high. Those Wright "Cyclone 3350s", had a nasty habit of sucking valves and/or pistons. Not to mention the crankcases were made of magnesium, which then caught fire and burned through the aluminum wing spars. They apparently got it (somewhat) worked out, as the same engine powered the Lockheed "Constellation" A "power recycling turbine" was added contributing some 500 extra horse power. Although, mechanics called it by a different name, "parts recycling turbine"

As to the search for Saddam's "WMD", it died, two days ago. Although, I do believe that Mr. Hussein needed that second bombing, if only to build character. (Ya hafta justify it somehow)

Granted this is 5 minutes of your life you'll never get back. However, watch this "Connie" wind up its Cyclones. They turn over so slowly, you think, "how can it possibly start"? They finally bark to life, and it seems like it takes forever to burn the oil out of the cylinders. Once airborne, the right main gear seems a bit reluctant to retract fully. I'd only seen them in the TWA white and red livery, but this one, in polished aluminum, dear lord what a beautiful airplane. And remember, those are the same power plants that brought a end to WWII.

BTW, all those martyrs got 86 (?) virgins in that afterlife. Just think, here in the US it would take an entire elementary school to come up with maybe 50 or so.

WWII ended at the Battle for Stalingrad, where millions died and the city ended up in total ruins. Saving Private Ryan is a massive exaggeration of the real Normandy landings as the Nazi's were mostly defeated and in retreat.

Patton on WWII: "We fought the wrong enemy."
The man knew what was coming and that your nation would, in time, forget what a woman is, as it crumbles to irrelevance as is the fate of all empires.

Here's the soundtrack to "Operation Barbarossa":

While the Holocaust is brought up at least on a weekly basis, the fact the Josef Stalin killed more of his own people than Hitler killed Jews, is never mentioned.

^^I've always wanted to play that at a children's birthday party^^

The song is off his album "Past, Present, and Future". Why the hell they put it up under that frivolous, "Year of the Cat" cover, has me mystified

But no, WWII was not officially over after the battle, perhaps in spirit, but not in substance,
Germany surrendered May 7, 1945. Japan surrendered later September 2, 1945, with her Emperor mumbling something about "unholy weapon".

As for your 2nd statement, Mr. Stewart had something to say on that topic as well: "Man, man, your time is sand, your ways are leaves upon the sea"
