.CHK disk files

I have been uploading music and videos to my mp3 player. I just recently can't add any more files because there isn't enough space. I tried to defragment the mp3 player and the report said there are two .chk files on there taking up 1.2 GB of space. When I open the mp3 folder the files aren't there. I click on the view hidden files option but that doesn't make the files appear. what should i do?

Normally 'chk' files can be safely deleted. To see them, try to enable 'view system files'. If you can back up your MP3 player onto you computer and start fresh, it would probably be the best idea.
