In 1989 I was working as contractor at a company in the Boston area. This company was STS.
The owner of the company was Dave Mies. On the first day he showed me the computer I would use, and also a special link.
This link showed the coffee pot in the kitchen. We could see if the coffee pot was full, or
being made.
Therefore your assumption is correct in use, but
wrong in location.
