Computer constantly plays commercial/talk show

As stated above, my computer is constantly making sounds that I am not the cause of. It's a pain in the *** because I'm a recording musician, and I'm using this computer as my recording platform. I'm very computer savvy so I don't know what it is exactly what it is that I need to posting here as a sort of helping point, but I do have the HiJackthis program which allows me to view my programs on my computer. I really want this gone, so just tell me what to do. Thanks in advance.

This is typically caused by some kind of infection. You should probably post in the Virus and Malware Removal forum.

Have you resolved the problem of the background music? HijackThis cannot be relied on to screen for malware since malware can run under the name of almost any process.

It's been a while since you posted, but thought I'd follow up.
