Computer freezes randomly when PCI devices are installed

Hi there,

I've been using this computer for months without problems, yet whenever I put a device into a PCI slot, it will start freezing randomly. The mouse will seize up, any sound that is playing will loop a very tiny section and sound horrible and jagged, and ctrl+alt+delete or any other keyboard shortcut does nothing. Restarting the computer seems to be the only solution. Sometimes it works for hours, sometimes it will freeze shortly after start up.

It is an issue now because I am using a wireless network PCI card. I have had other PCI devices and they cause the same problem, so I am sure it is not just the wireless card. My theory is that any device in a PCI slot causes it to have errors. I have checked to make sure I have the latest drivers for all my hardware.

Heres my specs:
OS: Windows XP Home SP3
Motherboard: Asrock 775 Dual-VSTA
CPU: Intel Pentium D 2.66 GHZ
RAM: 2 512MB sticks, 166mhz DDR
GFX: Nvidia Geforce 5200FX
PSU: 250 watt, unsure of model

And the wireless card is a TP Link TL-WN553AG

Thanks for any help.
