Hi,
I'm running Vista premium 64 bit with the latest upgrades installed and have been trying to watch TV ( display to Sony TV attached via HDMI cable) through the installed media center but after about 30 minutes the picture freezes, the sound becomes a crackling noise and the computer won't respond to any controls so I have to do a hard reboot. When I look through the Windows log files I can't find any error that seems to be associated with this 'event' apart from a message saying there was an unexpected shutdown. I've updated drivers for display, sound, tv card, as well as the Vista upgrades/fixes. In the absence of any clues, I wondered if this could be something to do with the 'power saving' schemes?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Allan
