Computer is not turning on at all

Shorts are rare, open circuits are far far more common. I spent 15+ years in the electronics trade.

im trying to post pictures from my other computer but now everytime i get to the main screen to choose the user the moniter decides its going to sleep and never wakes up. it does this by itself.

and my laptop keeps freezing, i mean this stuff doesnt have to be this complicated. its like murpheys law 24/7....just really hate computers right now lol.

why does my moniter keep turning off!? itll randomley decide to go into sleep mode and i cant get it back, so im forced to reboot the computer. i cant work on my broken computer if this other one keeps shutting off by itself... i still hear the music i had up, but the moniters being stubborn...

What type of monitor is it? Flat panel or crt?

never mind, i tested it on another moniter (both flat panels) for some reason it was the graphics card ( i switched it out) but its a shame, that graphics card was good...well compaired to the other ones i have lol.....but it never had that problem before......hm.....

okay on these PSUs, theyve been mostly set to 115 as far as ive seen, would switching to 230 matter? i mean would it blow something orr?

The psu switch is for the mains input voltage, unless you have 240volts where you are it wont work when switched.
