Computer not starting

hello everybody

i use a computer which is almost 3 years old. for the last couple of days i am having problem with that. when i start the system it doesn't start immediately. whenn i wait 1 or 2 minutes with the ac power left on and then turn the computer switch on it starts. after the system starts it is working perfectly.
what could go wrong, pl help.

It may be caused by a tired power supply... replace it

I would suspect the power supply, too, but while you're at it, look closely at the motherboard to see that none of the capacitors (round silver towers) are bulging.

replace the psu and the CMOS battery
